After a day in the sun, trying in a vain attempt to get the garden together over the long weekend, I felt like I needed to sit on deck, eat something uncomplicated and sip on something delicious.

The Orange Margarita
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz Agavadero
2 oz Silver Tequila
juice of half an orange
juice of 2 limes
Salt/sugar to rim the glass.
orange bitters

put ice and water in a highball to chill the glass. Dump it, and rim the glass with half an orange and a dredge in salt and sugar.

In a shaker with 3 ice cubes, combine the juice and liquor, then shake until the shaker frosts. Strain into the rimmed glass and add 2-3 drops of orange bitters.

Served with Steak Fajitas and Shrimp Fajitas (peppers, onion, tomato and cilantro, wilted in a cast iron skillet with bacon fat, then add shrimp and steak, seasoned with cumin, anchor chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Cook until the shrimp curls (remove) and the steak is at desired doneness.

Garnish with green onion, cilantro (optional) Mexican cheese mix, and Salvadoran lime crema. Hot sauce (optional).
