The first step in changing my reality is acknowledging that “fairness” and “justice” are constructs. Life is neither “just” nor “fair.”
The second step in changing my reality is to learn the rules – all of the rules – so I know when I can bend or break them, as rules are also a construct.
The third step is realizing that I must know and depend on my own strengths, and know my weaknesses, as my weaknesses are really only hidden strengths.
The fourth step – realize that the difference between “Friends” and “Acquaintances.” – acquaintances will express sympathy when I fall. Friends will pick me up.
The final step: Create an impossible goal and project a path back to my current situation with markers that will allow me to track my progress. Stay on the path, whether I am tired, sick, or discouraged. When I fail, and I will fail, refer to step four, knowing that occasionally, I will need to use step three and pick my own ass up.
My failure to believe in my potential will only leave me unprepared for my success, and potentially destroyed by it.
…so its time to start believing.
The Journey Begins.
Happy Tuesday, y’all.
