Art. Vitruvian Gallery. 3-28-2013.

Tonight’s model was good. He held his poses and did not fidget. I, on the other hand, don’t think I was completely in the room tonight. I think I was more in my head than I was in the room. Lots of self-doubting internal dialogue.

Came home and made myself some steamed shrimp, and a couple small whole wheat pita pizzas. Didn’t pick up sauce this week, so I combined tomato paste, diced sun dried tomatoes, a bit of anchovy paste, some diced up greek olives, and a can of crushed tomatoes into a pan where some italian seasoning and some garlic paste were sautee-ing. Some friends of mine gave me a container of tomato wine a few weeks ago. Figured if I was doing a quick sauce and I wanted a little depth, that and some balsamic vinegar might help short-cut this sauce. I spread some on my whole wheat pitas, added some shredded mozzarella cheese and some shredded piave vecchio (its like Reggiano Parm but a little more subtle), and put them on the pizza stone for about 12 minutes at 475. I like my cheese browned a bit on top. Soo good.
